FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS (FAQ)

Therapy can benefit anyone who wants to improve their mental health and well-being. If you’re struggling with difficult emotions, relationship problems, stress, anxiety, depression, or other mental health issues, therapy may be a good option for you. A therapist can help you identify and address the underlying causes of your problems, develop coping strategies, and achieve your goals. Certain clients seek therapy in order to address issues related to personal growth or self-improvement, with the goal of living a more fulfilling life.

If you’re unsure whether therapy is right for you, feel free to book a 20-minute online consultation to discuss your concerns and ask any questions you may have about the therapy process or my approach.

For those who reside in London, I provide in-person therapy sessions in Notting Hill. Additionally, I offer online therapy sessions to clients both domestically and internationally.

The length of therapy varies depending on the individual’s needs and goals. Some people may only need a few sessions to discuss a specific dilemma or issue, while others may benefit from ongoing therapy for several months or years. I am trained to provide both short-term and long-term therapy.

For individual and couples therapy, the sessions are 60 minutes long. In addition, I provide 90-minute couples therapy sessions which are available at a cost of £190. For group therapy sessions, a maximum of 6 individuals can participate, and each session lasts for 100 minutes.

Typically, therapy sessions are scheduled on a weekly basis, as consistent attendance is necessary for optimal progress. However, in certain situations, it may be appropriate to meet with a client twice a week for a designated period of time. If you choose to continue with therapy, the same time slot will be reserved for you each week.

During your first therapy session, you can expect to talk about your reasons and goals for seeking therapy. I will ask you questions about your background, your current situation, and your emotional state. This initial session is an opportunity for you to get to know me, and determine if we’re a good fit for working together.

Choosing the right therapist is essential to the success of your therapy. It’s important to find a therapist who you feel comfortable talking to. You may want to ask about their training, experience, and approach to therapy, but it’s also helpful to pay attention to your gut instincts and how you feel during and after your therapy sessions. If you don’t feel like a therapist is a good fit for you, it’s okay to look for someone else.

Yes, therapy is confidential. I am legally required to keep your personal information and the contents of your therapy sessions private. However, there are some exceptions to confidentiality, such as if you are a danger to yourself or others, I am required by law to report it to appropriate authorities.

To prepare for your therapy sessions, you may want to think about your goals and any specific issues or concerns you want to discuss. It’s also helpful to be open and honest during our sessions, and to communicate any changes in your circumstances or emotions since your last session. Finally, make sure to bring any relevant information or materials to your sessions, such as medication lists, medical records, or a journal of your thoughts and feelings.

Please let me know at the earliest convenience if you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment. If notice of cancellation is received less than 48 hours before the scheduled session or if you miss the appointment, the full fee will be charged.

I can conduct therapy sessions in Croatian language as well.
